What is a back panel? What is a back panel?

Back panels, also known as 'modesty panels', are an extra portion of matching fabric that is sewn onto your corset, allowing you to cover the skin behind the rear lacing.

Often when a corset is first put on there will be bunching on the skin in this area, although this usually dissaptes over time as the wearer moves around. The back panel prevents the initial bunching being visible.

Around half of my customers love these, the other half don't worry about them, so it is entirely down to personal perference. Back panels cost an extra 10 and are an optional extra on both standard and made-to-measure corsets.
